    Contenuti

    Il corso esamina la biodiversità presente nel mondo vegetale fornendo allo studente gli elementi cognitivi per essere in grado di riconoscere i principali taxa vegetali, comprendere la diversità di forme, di riproduzione e di sviluppo.
    Concetto di Sistematica e tassonomia, nomenclatura botanica; criteri e modelli tassonomici. Definizione di specie.
    Collocazione sistematica e caratteristiche generali delle famiglie botaniche a cui appartengono le specie di maggior interesse agrario e forestale. Sono previsti inoltre approfondimenti sulle caratteristiche differenziali ed auto-ecologia delle più importanti specie e varietà appartenenti a tali famiglie.
    Interazioni ed adattamenti tra piante e ambiente, principi di corologia e fitosociologia
    Metodologie per il riconoscimento delle specie vegetali.

    Obiettivi formativi

    L’obiettivo dell'insegnamento è quello di fornire gli strumenti di base necessari alla conoscenza delle piante coltivate e di interesse forestale nonchè introdurre verso lo studio di quelle spontanee.
    Il modulo di botanica agraria e forestale si pone l’obiettivo di analizzare e studiare la biodiversità presente nel mondo vegetale fornendo allo studente gli elementi cognitivi per essere in grado di riconoscere i principali taxa di vegetali, comprendendone la diversità di forme, di riproduzione e di sviluppo.
    Obiettivo centrale è quello di fornire allo studente una visione chiara e strutturata della diversità vegetale nonchè dei principi e metodologie utilizzate nel riconoscimento di taxa necessari per affrontare successivi corsi previsti dal piano di studi.
    Nello specifico lo studente sarà in grado di:
    Individuare collegamenti tra strutture e funzioni;
    Riconoscere e descrivere le principali entità tassonomiche;
    applicare le regole fondamentali della nomenclatura botanica;
    riconoscere i caratteri tassonomici utili ai fini diagnostici;
    acquisire capacità nell’uso corretto degli strumenti per l'identificazione e la classificazione delle piante vascolari;
    acquisire le competenze di base necessarie per valutare le relazioni tra diversità vegetale e caratteristiche ambientali.

    Metodologie didattiche

    Il corso di Botanica generale, agraria e forestale è costituito da due moduli e viene svolto mediante lezioni frontali nonchè seminari ed esercitazioni tenuti in aula e in campo. Ciascun modulo è articolato in 48 ore (6 CFU) di lezioni.
    Il modulo di Botanica agraria e forestale prevede lezioni frontali svolte con l’auslio di presentazioni in powerpoint.
    Le esercitazioni verranno condotte sia in laboratorio che in campo. Nelle esercitazioni di laboratorio verranno fornite le basi metodologiche per la determinazione delle piante vascolari mediante ausilio di chiavi analitiche.
    Nelle escursioni il docente guiderà lo studente verso il riconoscimento di specie autoctone e alloctone ed adattamenti delle piante alle condizioni ambienti.
    Per il modulo di Botanica agraria e forestale è richiesta la realizzazione di un erbario didattico rappresentativo delle principali famiglie della flora italiana.
    La frequenza regolare è consigliata.

    Metodi di valutazione

    La prova d’esame consiste nel verificare il livello di conoscenza ed approfondimento degli argomenti del programma del corso e la capacità di ragionamento sviluppata dallo studente.
    La prova orale si svolgerà mediante un colloquio articolato in 4 domande. Le prima di carattere generale sugli argomenti del corso ed è diretta a capire il metodo di studio e di approfondimento dello studente. La seconda è rivolta ad analizzare la capacità dello studente di comprendere il ruolo di specifici organi, strutture e funzioni. Le ultime due sono rivolte alla comprensione delle caratteristiche delle più importanti famiglie vegetali trattate durante le lezioni e le esercitazioni.
    In questa sede, lo studente dovrà presentare anche un erbario di exiccata, costituito da 25 entità rappresentative delle principali specie di interesse agrario e forestale nonché spontanee della flora d’Italia e relazionare criticamente sullo stesso.
    I criteri considerati ai fini della valutazione dello studente saranno: conoscenze scientifiche e tecniche in merito alla sistematica vegetale, capacità critica e di rielaborazione individuale, proprietà di linguaggio tecnico adottato.
    La valutazione finale sarà espressa in trentesimi e terrà conto dell’esito della prova orale (80%), della qualità dell’erbario presentato (20%).
    L’esame è considerato superato (18/30) solamente se lo studente dimostra di avere acquisito la conoscenza e comprensione di almeno 3 argomenti tra quelli trattati durante il corso e la capacità di applicare le stesse ad un caso studio.
    Il valore del voto finale espresso in trentesimi verrà ponderato in base al numero di CFU di ciascun modulo.

    Lo studente potrà avvalersi del materiale didattico (PDF delle lezioni, dispense, video, ecc.) messo a disposizione sul sito web di Ateneo e sulla pagina personale del docente.
    Nelle attività di determinazione dei campioni vegetali e preparazione dell’erbario gli studenti potranno avvalersi della presenza di un tutor per ricevimento in aula al quale potranno chiedere chiarimenti e revisione dei loro elaborati.
    I docenti sono disponibili per ricevimento studenti nei giorni indicati nelle pagine web personali e su richiesta inoltrata via email. Verrà inoltre creato un gruppo whatsapp per l’interazione degli studenti con il docente.

    Identificazione, denominazione e classificazione delle specie.
    Caratteri diagnostici utili al riconoscimento delle specie: morfologia di fusto, foglia e radice; caratteristiche morfologiche e classificazione di fiori e frutti; I caratteri citogenetici, biomolecolari e chemotassonomici.

    The course examines the biodiversity of the plant world providing the student with the cognitive elements to be able to recognize the main plant taxa, understand the diversity, reproduction and development.
    Systematics and taxonomy concept, botanical nomenclature; taxonomic criteria and models. Species definition.
    Systematic and general characteristics of the botanical families to which the species of greatest agricultural and forest interest belong.
    In-depth studies are also planned on the differential characteristics and auto-ecology of the most important species and varieties belonging to these families.
    Interactions and adaptations between plants and the environment, as well as principles of chorology and phytosociology.
    Methods for the identification of plant species.

    Course objectives

    The aim of the course is to provide the basic tools necessary for the knowledge of cultivated and forestry plants as well as introduce towards the study of spontaneous ones.
    The module of agricultural and forestry botany aims to analyze and study the plant biodiversity by providing the student with the cognitive elements to be able to recognize the main plant taxa, understanding the plant diversity of morphology, reproduction and development.
    The central objective is to provide the student with a clear and structured view of plant diversity as well as the principles and methodologies used in the taxa identification necessary to face the subsequent courses provided for in the study plan. necessary to face the subsequent courses provided for in the study plan.
    Specifically, the student will be able to:
    identify and describe the main taxonomic entities;
    apply the fundamental rules of botanical nomenclature;
    recognize the taxonomic characters useful for diagnostic purposes;
    acquire skills in the correct use of tools for the identification and classification of vascular plants;
    acquire the basic skills necessary to evaluate the relationships between plant diversity and environmental characteristics.

    Teaching methods

    The course of general, agricultural and forestry Botany consists of two modules and is carried out through lectures as well as seminars and exercises held in the classroom and in the field. Each module is divided into 48 hours (6 credits) of lessons.
    The module of Agricultural and Forestry Botany includes lectures carried out with the help of powerpoint presentations.
    The exercises will be conducted both in the laboratory and in the field. In laboratory exercises, the methodological bases for the determination of vascular plants will be provided by means of analytical keys. During the excursions, the teacher will guide the student towards the identification of native and allochthonous species and adaptations of plants to environmental condictions.
    For the Agricultural and Forestry Botany module, the preparation of a didactic herbarium representative of the main families of Italian flora is required.
    Regular attendance is strongly recommended.

    Evaluation methods

    The examination consists of verifying the level of knowledge and in-depth study of the tasks of the course and the reasoning ability developed by the student.
    The oral exam will take place through an interview divided into 4 questions. The first of a general nature on the topics of the course and is aimed at understanding the method of study and deepening of the student. The second is aimed at analyzing the student's ability to understand the role of specific organs, structures and functions. The last two are aimed at understanding the characteristics of the most important plant families treated during the lessons and exercises.
    Here, the student will also have to present an exiccata herbarium, consisting of 25 representative entities of the main species of agricultural and forestry interest as well as spontaneous flora of Italy and critically report on it.
    The criteria considered for the purposes of the student's evaluation will be: scientific and technical knowledge about plant systematics, critical ability and individual re-elaboration, properties of the adopted technical language
    The final evaluation will be expressed out of thirtieth and will take into account the outcome of the oral exam (80%), the quality of the herbarium presented (20%).
    The exam is considered passed (18/30) only if the student demonstrates that he has acquired the knowledge and understanding of at least 3 topics among those covered during the course and the ability to apply them to a case study.
    The value of the final mark expressed in thirtieths will be weighted according to the number of CFU of each module.

    The student can make use of the teaching material (PDF of the lessons, handouts, videos, etc.) made available on the University website and on the teacher's personal page
    In the activities of determining the plant samples and preparing the herbarium, students will be able to make use of the presence of a tutor for reception in the
    classroom to whom they can ask for clarification and revision of their papers.
    The teachers are available for receiving students on the days indicated in the personal web pages and upon request sent via email. A whatsapp group will also be created for students' interaction with the teacher.
